Mad to Live!

Now, On the Road is not everyone’s favorite. Alex thinks that after a while, the book seems to drag on. But Keroac new how to create beautiful imagery every once in the a while, the above being the perfect example.

And the while the passage is beautiful and well crafted, it speaks to us, at least the idea it purports. (And everyone else who quotes this passage.) It speaks of a community of artists who never settle, who never slow down– who are always creating, always doing. As writers, actors, artists, film makers and more– that the community we want to be a part of.

This is all well and good, but what does this mean for the blog? Well, the aim of this blog is to examine how this community interacts with each other, how art interacts with people. Where politics, social issues and people meet up with pop culture, art and advertising– the ones who are mad to live will be there because that is what we do.
